Case Study: Atlanta Shoe Market

Atlanta Shoe Market

Atlanta, Georgia

Problems:

  1. As one of the largest Shoe Tradeshow in the world, Atlanta Show Market is an extremely important event to attend in the industry as it is the only Shoe Show that writes orders on the show floor. The exhibitor base ranges from large, corporate companies, to small mom and pops. The event is run by Southeastern Shoe Travelers Association so their budgets somewhat pale in comparison to those run by event management companies. Our client was looking to upgrade the look of her show from a standard pipe and drape to a custom, fabric wall but wasn’t able to afford what most contractors would charge for that.
  2. Additionally, the event is run by a 3 person staff. Managing over 800 exhibitors plus hundreds of additional reps kept the office busy all day. Our client was in need of more than just a general service contractor, they needed another staff member.

Solutions:

  1. Jacoby Expo partnered with a general service contractor based in the south who was excited about the opportunity to produce such a large, well-known event. Knowing that the margins for a smaller contractor look much different than that of a larger one, it would be a great partnership without compromising service. Together, Jacoby Expo and the GSC researched materials and processes to provide an upgraded, fabric wall booth at a fraction of the cost of other contractors.
  2. Jacoby Expo stepped in and has become a direct extension to Southeastern Shoe Travelers team. We put together, proof and approve the exhibitor manuals – a task that can take hours off of a show organizers plate. We order and manage the proofing process of all structures, graphics and floor plans so ensure a quick turnaround for our client. Any and all exhibitor inquiries, complaints and questions are addressed and solved by us.

The Atlanta Shoe Market has been working very closely with Jacoby Expo and Founder & CEO Betsy Jacoby-Greenleaf for the last three years. Working with Jacoby Expo has taken all the stress out of the tradeshow logistics for my biannual trade shows held every year in February and August. Betsy is a very detailed person and responsive to all my trade show needs. She ensures that my event runs as smoothly and as effective as possible from the pre-show planning to the on-site production. I consider Jacoby Expo as a strategic partner in the success of The Atlanta Shoe Market. Laura Conwell-O'Brien, Executive Director, Southeastern Shoe Travelers Association Event: Atlanta Shoe Market
